General Overview
GEORGIAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY is the largest educational and scientific institute in the South Caucasus region. The University was founded in 1922 and it is a leading institution of engineering higher education and a strong scientific center. The University has joined the Bologna Process in 2005. It collaborates with over 2005 local and international research and scientific-educational organizations. It is in this century-old university the Faculty of Business Technology was started and now it
has its own little history. It is the legal successor of the Faculty of Business Engineering, which in turn was the Faculty of Humanities and Technology. Since the 90s of the last centuries, the mentioned faculty has firmly maintained its leading positions in the Georgian educational space.
International projects (ERASMUS +; TEMPUS; Rustaveli Science Foundation) are implemented at the faculty, international conferences are held, professors and students are actively involved in international exchange programs.
In 2014, the Georgian Technical University was joined by the faculties of Agrarian Sciences and Biosystems Engineering, and from 2021, started the faculty of Sustainable Mountain Development.
At present time, the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences and Biosystems Engineering offers bachelors, masters and PhD programs: a total of 26 programs, including two bachelors and masters degree programs in bachelors and masters programs in Georgian and English. From 2021, the graduates of the Georgian Technical University will have the opportunity to obtain a double, Georgian-French diplomas in the field of agriculture, which will increase the internationalization process of higher education and provide Georgia in the field of viticulture and winemaking in the world in education and science.
According to the decree of the Government of Georgia, the Faculty of Sustainable Mountain Development was established at the Georgian Technical University in 2021, which is the first transdisciplinary faculty integrated in the Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe region integrated with the education system of sustainable development. There are currently four undergraduate educational programs at the faculty, where tuition is fully funded by the state. Masters programs in different areas are being prepared with European partner universities.

GRIGOL ROBAKIDZE UNIVERSITY was founded in 1992 and at that time was registered as an independent university - Alma Mater; and has been in the educational market for 30 years.
Today, the university has new, modern educational campuses in Tbilisi and Batumi, which are equipped with the latest material and technical resources.
3,000 students study at the university, there are 5 schools: Law; public administration and politics; business and management; humanities and social sciences; medicine. The university implements 24 educational programs of all three levels (bachelors, masters, doctoral), including joint/integrated masters educational programs with foreign languages and partner universities: business administration (bachelors) - English language; English- language medical doctor (one-level, 6-year); Mass Communication and Public Relations (Masters) - Georgian-English (joint with the Paris International School of Journalism, double diploma).
In terms of international cooperation, the university occupies one of the important positions in the educational market, which is due to multifaceted cooperation with partner universities in USA, Germany, France, Poland, Portugal, Hungary, Turkey, Latvia, Lithuania and active involvement in the international mobility process, which gives students and academic staff the opportunity to learn about the international standards of education and to get a good experience of teaching and research.
REGIONAL CENTER FOR CONSULTING AND NEW PROFESSIONS - is a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity whose mission is innovative way to the success of regions" The main goal of the organization is to help the regions of Georgia, to facilitate the development of regional tourism and business.
The forms of activity of the center are:
- Identifying the priority areas of the regional economy and determining their needs;
- Planning and implementation of conferences, meetings, round tables
Establishing connections with local and international organizations, business companies, consulting firms, training centers, scientific-research and educational institutions;
The center has a considerable experience of cooperation with the technical university, which continues even now.
